When I later read these words, I determined to ask the Guides if a "reach for God" was the sole purpose for constructing those ancient pyramidal structures. The next morning they replied, "The original reason was as stated. But since supplies were stored within the pyramids, the Lemurians after a few score years noted the preservative quality in certain sections of the pyramids. Nothing deteriorated or rotted away. Thus these areas were regarded as sacred, and thereafter only the most sacred and precious materials were placed there. The Atlanteans learned of this from the Lemurians and also erected pyramids which became a place for worship above and storage within. In Egypt the Great Pyramid of Giza was the culminating glory, housing every mathematical calculation needed for figuring star range, earth latitude and longitude, the diameter of the earth and the thickness of its molten core, as well as the crust above it. This pyramid was intended also as a storehouse for valuables to be evacuated from sinking Atlantis, but its end came so suddenly that the heritage to be preserved in the pyramid was lost beneath the sea. Fortunately the records had already been buried in the smaller chamber not far from the pyramid's base, where they still exist to this day."

I was aware that scientists behind the Iron Curtain have discovered the preservative powers of a pyramidal shape fashioned to small-scale specifications of the so-called Cheops pyramid, but I was eager to learn whatever else the Guides could tell me about that pyramid itself. They obligingly wrote, "Yes, the great pyramid was built to house secrets since the beginning of time. Its calendar is implanted within the measurements of the steps leading to the so-called King's Chamber, and the Queen's Chamber has the perfect measurements for deciding the times for communication with other planets. The passageways between the two chambers record the ages of man upon the earth and predict the total number of years yet remaining before the revolution on the axis near the close of this century. Other more sophisticated details give the exact location of Giza in relation to the remainder of the world and the planetary system, and until these are interpreted there will be little more to tell. Within a radius of eighty-seven feet will be found the hidden chamber containing the records of Atlantis and Lemuria, so deeply imbedded in the earth as to require tunneling of some forty-eight workers for a year. It is not far from the Sphinx, which was built to demonstrate the work of Atlanteans and Ra-Ta in ridding the human species of animal entanglements, not only the appendages, but the animalistic character of the human race."

The Guides next directed our attention southward, writing, "Now in Ethiopia at the time of which we speak lived one Theopolis, who as a young man had migrated there from Atlantis and attained a high position as adviser to the Black king. He was helping with the transfer of powers from one segment
